I am going to try and leave Saturday or Sunday so I can be back home before the end of the month. It will take me two days to get to my first stop which is Somerset, Kentucky which is in Pulaski County where the Sloans, Smiths and Hales lived in the 1700's. I will try and stay at Burnside State Park which is also close to Sloans Valley. I will be taking the Bryan book and the Sloan, Hale and Smith books with me to help find some things. I am hoping to find more than just tombstones but hopfully there is someone in each of these areas that knows some of the history of all these families.
