This was the house that Benjamin Sloan built in 1798. Found out that their was a major road that went in front of his house and he supplied fresh horses to the people traveling through. There was also a store there but Johnny Cambell was not sure if he owned the store or not.
George Washington "Dutch" Sloan was his son and he was the one that moved to Verdon, Ne.
He had a daughter, Louisa Marion Sloan that married Emerson Smith and they were the ones that had my Great Grandmother Mary Smith Halterman
